Rare and extraordinarily beautiful Universal Geneve Tri-Compax wristwatch. Larger, all stainless steel case (37mm not counting the winding crown) for the period and rare in stainless steel. One of the greatest chronograph complicated watch movements ever made, this caliber 287 is in sparkling condition having been stripped down and sensitively and lovingly restored piece by piece by a Belgian master-watchmaker and all functions are working flawlessly (full pictures of restoration process available on request)..Beautiful moon-phase original finish dial with calendar in English! The UG Cal.287 movement is c.1944 one of the earliest Tri-Compax models and the diameter of the movement is 33.2mm (15 lignes), 6.05mm in thickness, 17 jewels/18000BPH, snap-on case-back, flat chronograph push-buttons. This is one of the most collectible wristwatches.
