We have been lucky enough to own one of these rare 1960s RAF Omega Seamaster 30s before:- http://corrvintagewatches.com/detail.php?productId=479 That watch was featured on the famous Hodinkee watch revue web-site:- https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/the-value-proposition-vintage-edition-omega-seamaster-30# This watch was owned by RAF Officer J Griffin whose serial number L/F974127 is on the case-back. Although not officially issued, all the examples we have seen of these watches (five so far) seem to have been used by RAF Officers serving in the Far East around 1963/64/65 and are engraved with the similar lettering and font (see this discussion:-http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index.php?/topic/62359-my-new-to-me-1965-omega-seamaster-30/ Our example was made in 1964 and has its original finish black Military dial signed "Omega Seamaster 30 T Swiss Made T". It also has the desirable Omega Seamonster logo relief on the case-back in superb condition as well as the engraved markings "J. Griffin L/F974127". It is a very nice size at 35mm diameter (not counting the singed Omega winding crown) and is a lovely, rare historical military Omega watch in original. condition and suitable for everyday wear.
