1925 Longines WW1 Era 14K Gold Watch in well preserved condition. Works very well. Case is large 31 mm wide, not including the original winding Crown and 31 mm long, with no inscription on the back.

“This watch was purchased by my great grandfather, the chocolate magnate Friedrich Neumann Reichardt (Reichardt chocolates are still for sale by the current owners Barry Callebaut the giant Belgium chocolate company) for his wife Clara, my great grandmother and looks excellent. I’m sure she hardly wore it and it’s been in safes for many years and wound occasionally to make sure it still works well. Along with my great grandfather’s A. Lange & Sohne pocket watch it was cleaned and maintained every few years, the last time in 1999 by a jeweller in Germany.”

Further to your request, we are pleased to provide the information contained in Longines‘ handwritten registers.
The original serial number 3’587’312 identifies a wristwatch in 14ct yellow gold. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 13.34. It was invoiced on 24 April 1925 to our subsidiary in Berlin.

Up for sale is a larger sized (32.5mm square) solid gold Longines wristwatch in very well preserved condition.
The movement is in beautiful running condition have just been fully serviced and is signed “Longines Swiss Made Cal. 13.34”.
This was a gift from a rich, successful Chocolatier to his wife in Hamburg, Germany and was bought as such in Berlin in 1925 as confirmed by the included Longines Extract of the Archive. .
The watch was put away in a safe and little used until we bought it from the great grandson of the original owner (please see attached photo biographical provenance).
