Description
The Multichron Regulator was introduced by Gallet in the late 20’s, specifically designed for users who needed to prioritise timing (Doctors; Rally Drivers) over the time of the day. Featuring only a small subdial at 12 o’clock telling the time, the rest of the dial was reserved for the chronograph function with various scales used and a minute counter at 6 o’clock.
Powered by the Venus 140, Gallet acquired the exclusive rights to this movement. The example you see here today is one of those featuring a gorgeous “snail-tail dial in red in perfect condition whoah is very unusual to find in one of these. This is perhaps one of the most beautiful dials I’ve come across, further complemented with red tachymeter scale and perfect blued steel hands and very beautiful numerals for both the clock and the decimal track also in rare perfect conditon.
The overall condition is outstanding with no marks at all and all original, further highlighting the beauty of this piece.
Comes in its very rare original “Gallet Chronographs” embossed wooded box – a valuable item in itself.
