c1941 Rare WW2 Waffenamt Approved Big German Military Watch in Oversized Cushion-Shaped Steel Case with Eagle and Nazi Swastika Military Issue Markings on Case-Back Original Dial with Subsidiary Seconds

c1941 Rare Eterna WW2 Waffenamt Approved Big German Military Watch in Oversized Cushion-Shaped Steel Case with Eagle and Nazi Swastika Military Issue Markings on Case-Back Original Dial with Subsidiary Seconds

Waffenamt (WaA) was the German Military Weapons Agency that officially approved any item for military use by the German Armed Forces during WW2. This is a rare and highly collectible military watch from WW2 approved for German Army use c1941. It is the same as those issued to the Czech Air-force and was probably commandeered by the occupying Nazi forces and given a Waffenampt military approved issue stamp on the case-back for German Army (or Heer) use. Many of the military insignia markings were rubbed off after the war due to a ban on Swastikas in public. This one has survived and displays the Eagle carrying a Nazi Swastika and the markings WaA58 on the back indicating that it was officially approved for military use by the Waffenamt sometime between 1941-1942 in Budapest, Hungary. Lovely, big, military, watch constituting an unusual piece of history and highly collectible.
