Stunning 1942 Omega WW2 Royal Navy Pilot’ Watch with Letter of Provenance in Rare Nickel-Brass Case
SOLD
Rare early (1942) Omega Navy Pilot’s watch.
We love the simplicity of the all Arabic number dials on these Omega military Pilot’s watches, off-set by the rail track minute track and blued-steel hands. Simply perfection! .
These early Nickel-coated brass cases HS^8 issued watches are far rarer than their RAF or HS^8 Alloy-cases cousins and much more durable, hence the outstanding condition of this highly collectible and hard to find.
If you want the best HS^8 example that you can find for your collection, this is it and what’s even better is that this watch was bought from the son of the original pilot and comes with a Letter of Provenance from the family. Rare to find.
Very, very hard to find one of these in its complete, original condition. Usually, they have very aged or damaged dials with worn numbers, not surprising given that they have literally been through the wars. However, occasionally, examples like this one do survive in time capsule preserved condition. This is one such example and one for the collector.
