1953 9ct Solid Gold Dress Watch in Dennison Case with Manual Winding Movement Orignal Dial with Sub Seconds and Applied Arabic Hour Numbers on Vintage Strap
This is a beautiful solid Gold Omega wristwatch with no engravings on the back of the case. It has a very reliable manual wining movement (Omega made their name with the movement in this watch). A very reliable movement in this classic Omega 1950s dress watch in the desirable and extra quality Dennison English made solid gold case, signed 13322 Omega Watch Co. A.L.D. 560494 9 .375. Many of these watches that you see for sale now were originally given as 25 year presentation watches and have inscriptions on the back but this one is clean and clear. Fully hallmarked for 9ct solid gold both in the case-back and on the top right hand lug. Collectors like these Dennison cased Omegas for their high quality. They were made in Birmingham, England by the highly respected, Dennison Watch Case Company founded by Aaron Lufkin Dennison (ALD) under licence from Omega during a time of restrictions on the importation of gold into Great Britain. Dennison also made cases for Rolex, Longines, Zenith and many others during these restrictions.
