Description
1962 RAF Omega Seamaster 30 with an original finish Railmaster style Dial with R.A.F. Officer’s Name and Serial Number on the Caseback.
This is a rare watch. We have seen variations on the Seamaster 30 model like this one that were all made in the 1960’s with the same style R.A.F markings on the caseback as this one. Case is a generous 35mm in diameter without the signed Omega crown.
What is even more unusual about this watch is that it belonged to a Flight Sergeant in the RAF Regiment and therefore, has R.A.F.R. engraved on the back along with his name and Serial Number. You can look up his Service Record online and see that he served in Cyprus and Singapore. This is in keeping in that all these watches that W e have seen belonging to serving RAF officers in the Far East from about 1962-1967.
Just look at those fantastic original faded pumpkin lume hour markers on that Railmaster-style dial!
