1965 Speedmaster Professional “Pre-Moon” Chronograph Cal. 321 Ref. 105.012-65 on Original 1039 Omega Steel Bracelet with 516 Ends First Year of Professional Model with Beautiful Matching Lume
Wow! What a beauty. Look at the beautiful matching aged lume on those hands and dial. This is the first Speedmaster to have the word “Professional” on the dial. In late 1965, Omega decided to add the word when NASA chose the Speedmaster as its official watch for its Astronauts to wear in the Space Programme. As such it is believed that this watch reference, 105.012 was the one worn by Neil Armstrong four years later on his historic Apollo XI mission to the Moon Landings.
