Description
1967 RAF Omega Seamaster 600
with an original finish Dial with R.A.F. Officer’s Name and Serial Number on the Caseback AND its original RAF import papers dated 1967 at RAF Lyneham.
This is a rare watch. We have seen variations on the Seamaster 30 model like this one that were all made in the 1960’s with the same style R.A.F markings on the caseback as this one. Case is a generous 35mm in diameter without the signed Omega crown.
What is even more unusual about this watch is that it belonged to a Flight Commander Peter Arkell in the RAF and therefore, has name annd serial number engraved on the back along with his name and Serial Number. This is in keeping in that all these watches that we have seen belonging to serving RAF officers in the Far East from about 1962-1967.
Just look at those fantastic original faded pumpkin lume hour markers on that dial and those fantastic faded RAF paperwork for the reimportation of the watch.
