1969 1st Generation Flightmaster Rare Ref. ST145.013 Cal. 910 Exceptional Example with Two Year Omega Service Guarantee. Immense Watch in Perfect Condition
Very rare 1969 1st Gen. Flightmaster. A real pilot’s watch with seven hands! One of the most desirable of the big Omega complicated chronographs with the same examples currently selling in auctions around the world for over £3,000, this is a real bargain! This example is in mint condition with a truly outstanding dial, in all original condition with the disctinctive green half sub-dial only found on these first generation Flightmasters. Original Omega signed steel case and bracelet, Omega manual winding calibre 910 movement, Omega thick sapphire glass, original Omega chronograph pushers and large signed Omega winding crown. A truly iconic watch, which was featured on the inside sleeve of David Bowie’s 1970’s “Lodger” Album, these are ever rising stars in the vintage world. This watch comes with a two year guarantee having recently been sensitively and fully restored (but dial and hands are the original and have not been restored or replaced) by Official Omega Agents STS (Swiss Time Services) in the UK. They gave the movement a full service, (they recorded the serial number as 29139494 dating the watch to 1969) and they replaced the crowns, glass and pushers with new old stock crowns glass and pushers. The watch looks like new. They then sealed the watch and tested it for water-pressure. This 2 year guarantee will be given with the watch and is valid until 6th August, 2011. (All the original parts changed by STS are still available to the new buyer).
