1969 British Military Wristwatch Issued to the Army with Stop Seconds Hacking Feature and Broadarrow on Dial and Military Markings on Case-Back in Superb Condition.

Mint condition Smiths British Military Wristwatch. Originally purchased as new old stock but the watch has been worn, condition is still outstanding and dial is near perfect. Case back has been opened for it to be serviced. The Smiths watches are becoming harder and harder to find. They were issued to the British military between 1967 and 1970 and are said to be the best Smiths movement ever made and among one of the best watches ever issued to the British military. Mint dial and markings, some light wear to the case and some natural fading to the hands. Genuine issue watch with markings on rear. Stainless Steel Case, tritium luminous dial and hand markings screwed back. The watch was originally issued to the army which is indicated by the W10 mark on the case rear. The back is marked with W10/6645-99-961-4045 0518/69. Military Broadarrow stamped on the back and on the dial. English-made manual winding mechanical gilded movement with hacking feature. Lovely looking watch and this was the last all-British watch to be made in England. Comes on new replacement drab olive green NATO military strap. Overall, an absolutely mint condition and clean example of a very collectible military watch of this age.
