This sale is for a 1982 Falklands’ War Year Issued British Army wristwatch by official supplier, Precista.
The watch has the much thicker, fatter case giving it its nickname the “Fatboy”. It is in overall outstanding cosmetic condition. The watch is absolutely clean.
The watch has its correct and original ETA 536.121 movement which is in full working order. fitted with a new correct reference Renata battery and keeping excellent time. The watch sets correctly from the crown and the hacking function works correctly.
The back is very clean with the correct issue marks, including W10 (service code for Army), NATO stock number, country code, item number, serial number and year of issue (’82’). The serial number tallies with the correct run of serial numbers for Precista Fatboys, which were supplied as the third of four batches of Fatboy G10s procured by the MOD in 1982, the other three being produced by CWC (see are other listing for a very rare date version of a CWC Fatboy The crystal is unmarked. The dial and hands are in beautiful condition. The hands are correct for the Precista G10, with polished hand frames, and are in very good condition.
