Produced by Rolex in Switzerland in 1978 and according to its original Rolex Chronometer Punched Papers this watch was first sold in Hong Kong in 1981. A truly exceptional example Rolex Explorer reference 1016.
It comes with its full set, inner and outer boxes, CSOC Punched Papers and Hang Tags and on its original matching year Oyster bracelet.
The watch has its perfect and original deep Matt Black “Tall Coronet” dial with a great pumpkin patina on the original hour plots.
The unpolished case is still thick and sharp.
A real Collectors’ investment example.
