Wow! What a watch. A rare example of an early collectible Valjoux 72 pilot’s chronograph with outstanding original dial and historic inscription. The inscription tells of the watch being awarded in 1939 as first prize in a show-jumping competition in Germany. What a dial! Just look at the beautiful concentric black circles and red outer dial and red chronograph hand. Comes on a very high quality, 100% Alligator skin strap. This watch is very large and impressive on the wrist. Maybe some German Cavalry officer won it!
