HAMILTON H-67 6B-9614045 MARK 11 RAF MILITARY GENTS VINTAGE WATCH c1967
This is a lovely example of this rare and collectible British military watch in very good cosmetic condition all round with just a few marks of authenticity to show its military heritage on an unpolished case.
The watch is fully functional, working and keeping accurate time.
The Hamilton Calibre S 75S signed Movement has a Swiss ETA 2390 hand-winding 17-Jewel base with the 75S denoting the Hack feature on these particular 6B-9614051 models (hacking means that when the crown is pulled out to time setting position the second hand stops allowing you to set the time to the exact second for military synchronisation with other watches).
The original dial is signed “Hamilton Swiss Made with the circled “T” indicating that the luminous material is Tritium and the Broadarrow indicting British military issued property. All in excellent original condition
The hands are the original military type with the original Tritium lume still in them.
The case is all stainless steel with fixed military bars. The case size is 36 mm, excluding the original military crown (and 37.5 mm with) and the lug width is 18mm.
The perplex glass is clean and scratch free and in excellent condition.
The NATO style leather strap is of very high quality and came with the watch.
Case-back markings are 6B- indicating RAF issue 9614045 and H-67 the year of issue. The individual MoD issue serial number is 3512.
This is the much rarer and hardEr to find hacking version of the well-known Hamilton Mark 11 RAF pilots’ Watches that are designed to the same specifications as all the “Mark XI” illustrious family that includes the IWC and Jaeger LeCoultre versions..As such, the Hamilton 6B is referred to by many collectors as the “Hamilton Mark XI”.
It is believed that only around 1,000 of these Hamilton 6B H-67 were ever produced which makes these watches rare and highly collectible..
Will come in a brand new Presentation box..
