Description
This is one of the rarest military issue watches out there with only an estimated 2,400 ever issued. This is because they were only issued to those military personnel working on the Trident Nuclear Submarine Fleet.
The watch is the second version of the Generation 2 Seiko issued to the RAF but a special order exclusively for the Royal Navy with a non-luminous Dial and hands to prevent interference with sensitive equipment or emit any detectable radiation on the Trident Nuclear Submarines.
These watches have their own special NSN number 7208727 and were only issued between 1993 and 2000 (this one was issued in 1999 according to its date stamp on the caseback).
Unlike the RAF issued ones there is no civilian version of this watch, so all are ex-active service.
It isn’t estimated that fewer than 2,400 were ordered making them very rare and collectible.
This example is in superb condition with just the right amount of Wabi. All functions work perfectly.
