Rarely seen and highly collectible Zenith “Land and Water” watch. Made in 1917 with a solid silver Borgel-style case and retailed by Birch & Gaydon Limited of Fenchurch Street, London suppliers of wristwatches to British Officers in WW1. A very historic timepiece in fantastic original condition. Zenith, in Switzerland, have confirmed that this watch was supplied to Birch & Gaydon on 23rd of February, 1917. The silver case has been poilished and gleams like new and the watch retains its original big “Onion” winding crown for winding with gloves. Original black enamel dial with large esay to read white Arabic numbers signed “Zenith Land and Water” and double signed by the original retailer “Birch & Gaydon Ltd. Fenchurch Street”. Rare and collectible and also very robust, wearable and readable.
