Description
This is a very rare early WW2 Omega watch issued to an RAF pilot.
What makes this watch so rare is that it is made entirely out of stainless steel including its mid-case unlike it’s more common 1943 cousins, who’s mid-case is made out of a Duralim alloy.
So, you have all the elegance of the 6B/159 long lugs but with the durability and fitness of steel throughout the watch. This gives it a particularly appealing look and collectibility.
They were also the first watches to be made for the RAF from Switzerland after the Nazi invasion of the rest Europe post-1940.
Beautiful and collectible watch in outstanding condition.
