Description
Offered for sale here is an exceptionally rare variant of the Lemania Royal Navy issue military Chronograph Ref. 818 with Double Pushers.
Typically, throughout their long use through the 1950’s through the 1970’s, these chronographs were issued in a Single Pusher format case. In 1975 and 1976 only, the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) implemented a significant alteration to its wristwatch chronograph specifications and issued a small number of these double-pusher versions.
It is believed that only a total of 500 pieces were ever issued to pilots of the Royal Navy within a brief production window of just two years, spanning from 1975 to 1976.
Therefore, this Ref. 818 stands out as exceedingly rare in the realm of vintage military watch collecting, and to be able to offer this extraordinary example on our site today is a real delight.
Encased within a 40mm asymmetrical case which was deliberately designed to protect the crown and the pushers, the perfect original matte black dial on this Ref. 818 features its original tritium lume (as indicated by the circled ‘T’ beneath the ‘Lemania’ logo) on each hour marker and the MoD’s broadarrow mark at the 6 o ‘clock.
Truly rare (only 500 issued) this particular double-pusher Lemania Military Chronograph was issued to the Royal Navy in 1975.
100% original and correct with military issue markings 0552/924-3306/4198/75 on the caseback.
Fully functional and Serviced and with our 1 year warranty.
