Very collectible and beautiful big vintage 1951 solid 18k rose gold Angelus Chronodato, Cal 254, in really outstanding condition. Stunning silver/white dial set against gold hands, gold second hand flyback, calendar red-tipped arrow, large raised gold numeral 12, raised gold baton markers. Two large crisp silver/white sub-dials (for continuous 60 seconds and 45 minute recording respectively). Inner black 60 second chronograph marker track. Outer black calendar track. Day/month windows at 12 and 6 o’clock respectively, with date indicator on outer rim of the dial. Great looking Gentleman’s wristwatch from the highly regarded Swiss House of Angelus. Smooth running high quality Angelus signed cal 254 Swiss-made 17 jewel manual wind with 14 lignes inversion 1 with screw balance & Breguet hairspring movement runs great with all calendar and chronograph functions working. Large 38.5mm (not including original crown) 18K solid rose gold case with the rare & unusual step-down lugs which only come with the 18K solid gold case in excellent condition with snap-on case back signed 18K 0.750 – serial number 59350-36 140 in excellent condition (this is a deep case of 15mm depth/height from the wrist).
