This watch is so iconic that Longines reissued a faithful homage to this watch unveiled at Baseworld in 2018.
However, this is the hard to find original 1940’s WW2 RAF pilot’s watch. This one was probably on the wrist of a WW2 fighter pilot! It has the added desirability of Air Ministry (A.M) issue markings on the case-back.
These rare Longines WW2 RAF Fighter Pilot/Navigators watches are getting harder and harder to find, especially in this all original condition. It retains its original long elegant lugs and important correct unsigned disctinctive fluted military winding crown. This one has its original finish dial with even faded patina.
