1940s WW2 Military Style with High Quality Cal. 478 Hand Wound Movement Original Dial and Hands with Blued Steel Centre Sweep Seconds Hand in Lovely 40s Shaped Steel Case

Stand out from the crowd with this beautiful high quality Jeager LeCoultre manual winding wristwatch in typical 1940s style with original finish very attractive dial with all-Arabic hour numbers around the edge of the elegant minute track and signed “Jaeger Lecoultre Swiss” .It is worth noting that this same movement was purchased from Jaeger LeCoultre by Vacheron Constantin, which assigned it the calibre number P1008/BS and fitted it to its “Chronometre Royale” models of the 1940/50s. These change hands for several thousand pounds each and are immensely sought after by collectors, many of whom are probably unaware of the availability of the identical movement in its original Jaeger LeCoultre signed form.
