1988 Generation 1 British Military Issued Chronograph Issued to Royal Navy and Army Air Corps Helicopeter Pilots for use in the 1st Gulf War Superb All Orignial Condition Fully Functional
This is a fine example of the first generation Seiko chronographs issued by the British Military to RAF fighter/helicopter pilots. The first RAF-issued Seiko chronograph ( Gen. 1 ) was procured from Seiko UK and issued primarily to Royal Air Force pilots and navigators from October 1984 until November 1990. According to documents I seen received from Seiko, 11,307 pieces of this Gen. 1 model were supplied by Seiko to the British Armed Forces. This particular watch was issued in 1988 and therefore would have seen action in the First Gulf War of 1990 against Saddam Hussain forces in the deserts of Kuwait and Iraq. This watch has been serviced and is working perfectly in all functions with all chronograph functions returning smartly to zero after use.
