Description
The following is taken from fithwrist.com who’s perfect description of this watch is far better than we could do…
“The Omega Dynamic III 5250.50 is the third and last generation of the Dynamics family. However it is anything but a facelift of the previous elliptical and angled case shaped watches with removable case rings.
The design is inspired by Omega’s contribution to the “Dirty Dozen” – WWII watches commissioned by the British MoD. A date window was added, the black dial, Arabic numerals, and big crown remained.
Inside the Omega Dynamic III 5250.50 we have the caliber 1108, essentially an ETA 2892. Nothing special or unique but a simple, thin and very accurate movement.
Case-wise we are looking at a 36mm flieger shaped case with a flat sapphire, inner AR coating and an utilitarian screw-down caseback.
What’s not to like? I am into traditionally sized watches, not everyone is. The overall flieger/military aesthetic – you are either attracted or find them dull with time. Take a look at the crown – yes, its big! Makes great for handwinding the auto movement but might not be your cup of tea. I wish mine came on the bracelet, the 19mm strap size might put you off if you are a serious strap junkie.
